Ray Attree spoke about the finances, and told everyone that after the meeting there would be approximately Rp.5, 5million left in the account and based on the number of teams joining the 2011/12 season that Rp. 2,500,000 should be paid by each team no later than September 1st 2011 for the first leg of the season
New Treasurer
Killian from team Murphys was officially voted in as the new treasurer and as soon as he has opened up an account for the league Ray Attree will transfer the remaining funds to that account. Teams can still pay into Ray Attree’s existing account until new account details follow shortly
Schedule
Erwin was good enough to send out a preliminary schedule prior to the league meeting and all teams are now talking directly to Erwin to make sure all game play dates are to their liking, so please just as a reminder make sure you check the schedule and speak to Erwin a.s.a.p. to rectify any dates that need to be changed so referees can be sent to games
Sabor Latinos
There were a few issues in regard to Sabor Latino mainly that at the end of the season they need to join the end of season party along with all the other teams in the league. We welcome again Sabor Latino to the league
Registration of Players
Last year all teams had to register all players and cards were provided offering discounts at bars, this year it was agreed that teams only need to register professional players. To make this very, very clear read the following carefully;
Anyone playing in the JIFL that has ever in their life played professionally must be registered. Maybe you are 40 years old and you played one game professionally when you were 19 years old,you must be registered.
Failure by any team to register a player that plays in any JIFL game will result in a forfeit of that game with a 2-0 win being given to the opposing team (should both captains agree to a rematch the league will accept the teams decision but will not accept the additional cost for referees, this must be paid by the two teams). All use of professional players must adhere to the rules laid out in the JIFL rules which you will find on the JIFL website. www.jifl.org
Submit all professional, ex-professional players before playing your first JIFL game
Captains and Managers
In accordance to the rules set out on the JIFL website you must play a stronger role within the confines of the league to keep the game from falling in to disrepute. Assist the referee whenever possible, keep player in check, and watch out for racist remarks, verbal abuse and excessive aggression. Details you will find in the rules. If you feel a player from an opposing side is acting in a manner not befitting the league, please submit his name and the reason for submitting the name to and only to the Chairman, the league secretary and the league treasurer, if this name appears three times (obviously three separate teams send in the same name for the same reason) then disciplinary action will be taken against the player.
Please understand that we want a league based on friendship and goodwill and that over the last couple of seasons there has been an increase of issues in this regard. Everybody that plays football is more than aware of the fact that swearing and minor confrontations are part of the sport, are intention is to keep it ‘minor’
New Additions to the Rules
In the hope of instilling fair play on the pitch it has been agreed by all teams that a red card is now to be a two match ban
In the past only the team captains have sent in the names of players that have received red and yellow cards, now as a further support system the referees are now required to submit the names of booked players directly to Erwin the head referee stating the reason for the infringement.
Team captains and managers it would also help the league if you could also give the reason in your match report for the issuing of thered card
For the time being only a red card needs to be accompanied with the reason behind it. Yellow cards still follow the existing rule which is twenty minutes (check rules)
Ared card also means the player is banned for the two games, immediately following the red card, teams cannot choose which games the player will miss
Furthermore any team knowingly or unknowingly fielding a player that is on a suspension will forfeit that game and a 2-0 win will be given to the opposing team. This decision is a JIFL decision and cannot be changed by team captains, unlike the decision for pros laid out above)
First Leg Games
All first leg games must be completed by the end of the very first week of February. Any games not completed by this time will result in both teams forfeiting any points they may have accumulated for this/these games (extenuating circumstances can be referred to the disciplinary committee for review)
Away Games
All teams have promised to accommodate to the best of their ability, away games on the designated date and on the designated pitch of the home team (captains discression applicable)
Kits
No real issues
Pitches
Some teams expressed concern over the availability of pitches for the 2011/12 season, this info was submitted by Dale;
1.) Please consider the Airforce pitch in Pancoran at the Aldiron Building. Excellent pitches there. The man’s name is Hartoyo who controls the fields and he lives just in back of the Aldiron Building in the Airforce digs there.
2.) Or cut a deal with ISCI (discuss with Leo).
3.) Also, the Blok M Police Field just there in front of Pelatehan Street could be negotiated if you really desired. This is not that pitch that BuGils uses at the academy area a half mile away. This is the pitch that everybody drives past anytime that they go to the Blok. Kessack Maboang (Jules Onana’s brother in law)used to rent this pitch back when he was here.
4.) Lastly, you might consider speaking with the Japanese about use of the Sentul field as your home pitch. German Plus did this one season about 5 years ago when they were pitchless.
Website
Ray Attree will continue with www.jifl.org together with Killian Murphy, and we will once again strive to keep you up to date on what is happening in the league throughout the JIFL 2011/12 Season.
Sponsorship
Chairman Phil will look into the possibility of businesses working together alongside the league for mutual benefit
Other
As team Wanderers and team Nomads were not present at the meeting, any issues they may have relating to the decisions made at the meeting cannot and will not be discussed further, should they have objections they can bring them up at the 2nd leg meeting
Cancellations
Teams are allowed one cancellation per leg for any reason they choose a second cancellation if not by act of God or with both captains in agreement, then the team at fault will forfeit the game with a 2-0 win to the opposing side' please make sure that when you cancel a game you inform the committee immediately with the reason for doing so
