Hallo Howie,
I want to express my disbelieve as much as anger over the decision by the
referee over unnecessarily fouls in our Jifl amateur League especially our
last game vs Lions.
It was a perfect sunny football day at the german school on the 19.02.11,
after kickoff you could feel the heat of the game. In a game of that heat
you expect to have referees who can see dangerous challenges and manners
that would give warnings to the players.
10th minute I got fouled by the Lions player, 15th minute same player
tackled me again to gain possession of the ball but this time making an ugly
contact with me before even touching the ball.
In the opinion of the referee it was just an ordinary foul no consequences for
the opponent player, in my opinion the referee should take drastic
measures if a player plays in a serious foulplay, receives a second
caution five minutes later, he is guilty of violent conduct.
So there is not so much at stake in amateur football as there is in the
professional games, so there should be less fouls, right?
If the referee cant see that what chance have you got. I know that many
indo referees have a lack of sensitivity of taking actions, im playing
football since 1985 in Jakarta but to all Jifl players I want to express
especially Lions
that we are playing football at the amateur level and that ugly fouls are
really unnecessarily. It just endangers the general health of the players.
In my case with all the bad luck I cant play football for the next 10 month
maybe longer, I got "luckily" away with an ACL Ligament rapture and a
fractured meniskus, surgery will be next week and its not for free.
Last year just for the record Jan got also away with an ACL Ligament
rapture and Wolle got an serious ankle injury in all games versus Lions
I understand the importance of the game but I cant accept unnecessarily
fouls in our Jifl league. I herewith demand that the Lions-player in
question will be banned for the rest of the season.
